Sherneil Charlery recently graduated from The University of the West Indies with a BSc (Hons) degree in Sport Sciences. She is the Founder and President of Supporting Girls in Sports an organization that focuses on raising awareness for gender equality in sports by providing girls with a platform for self-expression and providing developmental opportunities for girls in sports in the Caribbean. She is also the Vice President of the Choiseul Youth and Sports Council. She is a member of The Saint Lucia Basketball Federation Female Basketball Development Committee and one of Saint Lucia's representatives at the FIBA Americas Adelante A Women's Forum where she is working on a National Women's Basketball Development Program. Sherneil is a member of the Caribbean Association of National Olympic Committees Communications team and served as the Social Media Content Manager for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. She is also a member of the Saint Lucia Olympic Committee Women in Sport Commission and Public Relations and Marketing Committee. Sherneil was recently appointed the Saint Lucia Local Focal Point on the Commonwealth Youth Sport for Development and Peace Network.
Sherneil is a 2021 Chevening Scholar. She is currently pursuing an MSc. Sport and Exercise Biomechanics at Leeds Beckett University with the hope of becoming a Sports Performance Analyst.
