Morgan Powell (she/her) is a passionate advocate for inclusion in sports. She currently serves as Associate Director, Advocacy at the Women’s Sports Foundation (WSF). In her work at WSF, Powell works collaboratively on grassroots and national initiatives that educate the public and advocate for policies and practices that advance gender equity in sports. Powell oversees coaching, LGBTQ+, high school sports, international, mental health, safeguarding & athlete abuse, and youth/parks & rec sports portfolios. She serves as a lead on WSF’s National Girls & Women in Sports Day activations. Previously she worked at Special Olympics Connecticut and spent time coaching volleyball and track and field at the youth and high school levels. She received her Master of Education in Sports Management from Springfield College and her Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Marketing from Simmons University where she also played varsity volleyball.
